Wirecutter's 100 Most popular Picks in August

August was full of surprises, a wild mix of back-to-school preparing, heat advisories, and the Delta variant. As always, however, Wirecutter has been here to help along the way. Many of our readers shopped for our recommended masks, bug repellents, and items for stress relief. Others enjoyed WFO (working from outside) with some help from our guide to taking your home office outdoors. We’re happy that our picks helped squeeze the best out of what turned out to be an interesting summer.

If you’re viewing this article on a desktop, start from the top left to find the most popular pick, and then move one spot to the right to find the second most popular. Once you’ve made it across, start on the left again in the following row—the top 100 are listed in descending order. If you’re on mobile or a tablet, the list should appear in order from top (most popular) to bottom.
